Craig joined Bancorp Treasury in 2007 and specialises in treasury governance, policy, health checks and IFRS. His role is to provide specialist treasury advice and market strategies to a diverse portfolio of clients, fostering strong long-term relationships as well as undertaking one-off project work. He has extensive experience developing and reviewing treasury operations and policies and has a clear view of the intricacies of IFRS 9 and hedge accounting.

Craig’s corporate treasury skills were honed in the UK, where he was treasurer for the Commonwealth Secretariat, an intergovernmental agency spanning the 53 countries of the Commonwealth. Craig also spent several years based in Canada, working in the finance team of North America’s largest construction materials provider.

Craig has a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Waikato and is a member of both the Finance and Treasury Association and INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand).

Suresh has been at Bancorp since 2006 and has over (18) years of experience within the finance and banking sectors. Suresh began his career at one of the ‘big four’ chartered accounting firms, specialising in bank client audits. This specialist banking sector knowledge led Suresh to pursue senior roles within the investment banking industry. He has held positions within internal audit, financial reporting, product control, risk management and other project functions.

Suresh has worked for major investment banks in New Zealand and the UK, where he gained valuable experience in measuring, monitoring and reporting treasury risks and financial performance. He has also resolved accounting, financial product valuation and control issues, and conducted system implementations. Suresh joined Bancorp as a Client Advisor and is now the Head of Treasury Advisory Services, overseeing a team of advisors and analysts.

Suresh is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand) and the FTA (Finance and Treasury Association of Australia).

Throughout his career Earl has worked across both corporate treasury and banking sectors. Before his involvement in treasury advisory, Earl worked for major international banking groups in Australasia, Asia and the United States. In his most recent banking role, Earl was responsible for the management of the group’s domestic interest rate risk and he held overall remit for all foreign exchange risk and the bank’s treasury marketing unit. He also negotiated a number of global funding facilities for the bank.

As a treasury advisor, Earl has advised a number of major borrowers on funding alternatives domestically and within global capital markets. He has also advised on, and assisted in, the preparation of a number of policy and procedure protocols for the management of treasury risk for a wide range of organisations, including government entities and publicly listed companies.

At Bancorp, Earl manages a portfolio of clients with total currency and interest rate exposures in excess of $20 billion.
Earl is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a Certified Treasury Professional member of the FTA (Finance and Treasury Association, Australia) and INFINZ (Institute of Financial Professionals of New Zealand). He has a Bachelor of Business (Finance) from Massey University and a Post Graduate diploma in Finance (Auckland University).

Over his twenty year career in treasury advisory, Miles has gained significant expertise in interbank and corporate money markets with a detailed understanding of the fixed interest markets. Miles has held senior positions in New Zealand merchant banks and banking groups and has broad experience on the use of interest rate synthetic (or derivative instruments).

In the interest rate advisory and consultancy areas, Miles acts for a wide range of borrowers and investors throughout New Zealand, with his main areas of focus being investment portfolio management in the utilities and local government sectors. Based in Bancorp’s Christchurch office, Miles also shares responsibility for client relationships throughout the South Island.

Dwayne joined the Bancorp Treasury team in 2019. His role is to provide specialist treasury advice and financial market strategies to a broad portfolio of clients, building strong trusting relationships, as well as undertaking project work. Throughout his 30 year career, Dwayne has gained international experience and recognition working for major banks and corporate entities covering Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Derivatives, Money Markets, Debt, Funding, Commodities and Trade Finance.

His inherent ability to interpret and analyse financial market information, providing direct and meaningful conversations within critical timeframes is an asset for Bancorp Treasury clients. This, combined with an ability to provide clear communication and analytical solutions, has enabled Dwayne to consistently add value and generate positive returns. Dwayne is a Certified Treasury Professional member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand (INFINZ).

Nick’s expertise lies in helping organisations to identify and manage financial risk and gain treasury and transactional banking efficiencies with the aim of improving treasury management and performance. Having gained corporate treasury experience in New Zealand and London, Nick joined Bancorp Treasury on his return to Auckland in 2008. His role is to provide tailored advice to a broad range of clients, fostering ongoing relationships as well as undertaking one-off project work.

Nick has extensive global and local transactional banking experience and he also specialises in developing policies and methods for proactively managing currency, interest rate and commodity price risks. He is also knowledgeable in the area of hedge accounting and derivative valuations.

Nick has a Bachelor of Commerce and Post Graduate Diploma in Finance from the University of Otago. While in the UK, Nick completed the Certificate of International Cash Management. He is part of the UK-based Association of Corporate Treasurers and is a member of the Finance and Treasury Association Limited.

Jerry joined Bancorp Treasury in early 2021. His role is to provide tailored advice to a broad range of clients based in New Zealand and Australia on treasury management services, liquidity solutions as well as providing advisory on transactional banking services.

Jerry has extensive local and global treasury management experience gained through institutional banking roles held in New Zealand and in Asia over a period of more than 30 years. Prior to joining Bancorp, Jerry has worked for the ANZ Bank as a specialist transaction banker in cash and liquidity management sales. Before joining ANZ, Jerry had worked with several other banking groups based in Singapore and Hong Kong. He was the Head of Debt Capital Markets for HSBC Bank in Malaysia and was a senior client coverage of debt markets and derivatives with investments banking groups at Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank. Jerry has a master’s degree in finance and a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Finance from the RMIT in Australia.

Advaith joined the Bancorp treasury team in 2022, assisting with the delivery of tailored treasury and financial market solutions to clients, including commentary, publications, presentations, reporting and portfolio valuation.

Prior to joining Bancorp, Advaith worked at KPMG within the Advisory Management Consulting team where he was involved with strategy and implementation business development projects.

Advaith holds a Bachelor of Business from AUT (Auckland University of Technology), with a double major in Economics and Finance. While at university, Advaith served as President of the AUT Economics Society, and as an Executive Member of the AUT Investment Club. Advaith is currently a member of INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand).

Monica joined Bancorp in 2023. With many years of corporate experience, Monica is enthusiastic about adding value to clients to see them grow sustainably and thrive both domestically and internationally. Monica would love to see and assist more innovative and successful clients have a positive impact on their community and make their mark on the international stage.

Prior to joining Bancorp Monica worked for Fisher & Paykel Healthcare for 15 years, in different Accounting and Finance roles. This provided Monica with exposure to the breadth (international) and depth (multiple aspects of the value chain) of a multinational headquartered in New Zealand. This included the following Treasury related topics: foreign exchange, debt and interest rate management, cash management, Treasury Policy review and implementation, Treasury Management System implementation, intercompany funding, international banking, derivative valuations and reporting. Before joining FPH, Monica worked at Ernst & Young Auckland in Business Advisory Services.

Monica has a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialisation in Accounting from the University of Auckland. Monica is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand (INFINZ).

Fabian joined Bancorp in 2025, bringing extensive global experience across corporate treasury, banking, and academia. He is enthusiastic about helping clients grow sustainably and delivering tailored, analytical treasury solutions that are both pragmatic and forward-looking.

Before joining Bancorp, Fabian’s career included key roles at Porsche AG and ANZ. At Porsche, he was instrumental in driving treasury digitalisation as the product owner for a new Treasury Management System. He also led the implementation of commodity hedging with hedge accounting, developed the group’s counterparty risk management strategy, and served as a commodity and FX trader. Prior to this, at ANZ, Fabian provided robust oversight of rates, FX, credit, XVA, and options trading, while developing analytical capabilities, automating processes and enhancing risk frameworks.

Fabian holds a doctorate in Finance (summa cum laude) and is passionate about translating complex financial market dynamics into clear, actionable treasury solutions, a skill honed through his lecturing experience.

David joined Bancorp Treasury in 2021 and acts as a treasury advisor specialising in interest rate risk management, treasury management and bank funding.

Prior to joining Bancorp Treasury, David had in excess of 30 years at the ANZ Banking Group, where he worked as an Associate Director of Global Markets.

David’s capabilities include treasury policy, interest rate derivatives, fixed interest, cash management, foreign exchange, debt funding and treasury management.

His qualifications include an MBA from the University of Canterbury, a post-Graduate Diploma in Banking, a Batchelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and has achieved the NZ Certificate in Financial Services. Previously he has been a qualified Investment Analyst and he is currently a member of INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand).

Luka joined Bancorp Treasury in 2023. He works closely with the wider Treasury team, supporting advisors and maintaining client portfolios in addition to delivering financial market solutions to a range of clients.

Prior to Joining Bancorp, Luka worked at CBA within the Financial Crimes team.

Luka holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Waipapa Taumata Rau (The University of Auckland), with a double major in Economics and Finance. Luka is currently a member of INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand).

James is a respected financial markets executive with more than three decades of leadership experience across Trading, Sales, Funding, Debt Capital Markets, Investor Sales, Derivatives, Commodities, and Foreign Exchange. Known for his people‑first leadership style, James has built high‑performing, engaged, and award‑winning teams that excel in both client outcomes and industry recognition.

Most recently serving as Executive Director and Head of Sales for a major Australasian bank, James led teams that achieved repeated #1 rankings from Coalition Greenwich, reflecting market‑leading performance in execution, sales coverage, research capability, and relationship strength. His leadership is grounded in empowerment, accountability, and a commitment to disciplined risk management and integrity.

James is widely recognised for fostering cultures where people thrive — encouraging collaboration, supporting professional development, and ensuring teams are strongly positioned to succeed in rapidly evolving market conditions. He is deeply committed to developing talent, strengthening organisational capability, and guiding teams through complexity with clarity and confidence.

He holds a BBS, a Diploma in Banking, and a Master of Finance (MBS) from Massey University, and is a Fellow of FINSIA.

Sam joined Bancorp Treasury in 2026 after graduating from the University of Otago. He works closely with the wider Treasury team, supporting analysts, advisors and directors with day-to-day operations, research, and client deliverables.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance and a minor in Philosophy, and has a strong interest in financial markets, risk management, and applied treasury analysis.
