Mia Evans is a senior private banking executive with over 40 years’ experience across global banking and wealth management and has extensive expertise in international cross-border wealth solutions.
As General Manager of Bancorp Wealth Management, Mia leads the firm’s private banking and international client offering in New Zealand. She oversees a comprehensive suite of services including immigration-qualifying investments, family office services, direct investments, asset-backed investment opportunities and managed funds, with clients also accessing Bancorp’s corporate finance, treasury advisory and asset management services.
Mia leads the Active Investor Plus (AIP) Program for the Bancorp Group. Bancorp offers three qualifying immigration investment funds in the growth category: Kakapo Responsible Investment Fund, AANZ ( Aviation and Aerospace New Zealand) and Castlerock. Her client relationships span North America, Europe, China, Japan, South-East Asia, India and Australia.
She leads a bilingual, highly experienced team, each with more than 20 years’ experience in their specialist areas. Mia was the first woman elected Vice Chair of the Japan New Zealand Business Council, supporting the development of long-term economic and trade relations between New Zealand and Japan.
Mia is also an honorary member of Support Our Kids, working alongside former New Zealand Ambassador to Japan Ian Kennedy to support children orphaned or displaced following the 11 March 2011 earthquake in Japan, facilitating partnerships, sponsorships and media engagement.

Ken has had over 20 years in the banking industry in Japan and New Zealand. In Japan he worked for Credit Suisse Life & Pension, Tokyo Star Bank and Lloyds TSB Bank. In 2013 he immigrated to New Zealand with his family. He then joined ANZ Bank where he worked in the Asian Banking Team as a Personal Banker before joining the Bancorp group.
He started with Bancorp Wealth Management limited as a marketing and relationship Coordinator before being promoted to Senior Relationship Manager.
Ken manages a portfolio of Japanese clients both in Japan as well as New Zealand and helps them with investment opportunities.

Marina joined Bancorp in 2023. She immigrated to New Zealand in 2018, where she worked in hospitality for five years as a duty manager.
Marina holds a Bachelor of English from Kansai Gaidai University and has five years of experience in customer service and administrative roles in Japan before moving to New Zealand.
She supports Wealth Management clients both in New Zealand and overseas.
